Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa Resort is seeking motivated candidates to join our dynamic Front of House team at izanami dining. Presently, we are hiring a Full-Time Server Assist to work flexible daytime and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in an upscale restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods; lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
Willingness to adjust to our expanding and continuously changing menus.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Demands of the Position
Extended periods of standing and walking: Server Assists are expected to remain on their feet and in motion for up to 6–8 hours per shift, navigating the dining room, patio, and other service areas with ease and efficiency.
Carrying and lifting: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance trays, beverage buckets, and bus tubs weighing up to 35 pounds safely.
Reaching, bending, and stooping: Frequent reaching across tables, bending to retrieve items, and stooping to reset or clean as needed are required.
Navigating tight or uneven spaces: Our setting includes various room layouts and outdoor decks that may involve stairs, thresholds, and narrow walkways. Team members must move confidently and cautiously in these areas.
