Kitchen Assistant Position:
We are seeking an individual who will be able to multi-task; take directions and have a willingness to learn; work in a fast-paced manner; provide adequate service, and work within a team setting.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Prepare authentic handmade artisan pizza to restaurant’s standards.
Strive to develop high quality, innovative and creative pizza menu offerings for our guests.
Assist with tasks from Chef and/or other kitchen duties.
Develop and follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness.
Ensures cooking stations are sanitized and prepped with necessary tools
Prepares and stores pizza dough, pizza sauces
Trains other cooks in the preparation process so all meals are uniform
Checks quality of pizzas before they’re served to guests
Performs regular maintenance on kitchen equipment
Collaborates with staff on menu items
Assist in food inventory and control while properly receiving and storing delivered items.
Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines.
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using a dishwasher or by hand.
Monitor dishwasher water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Receive and store supplies.
Assist with basic food prep
Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
Must have at least 1-2 years kitchen experience

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time
Starting wage will be $12-$16 an hour
