Tesuque Village Market seeks reliable cashiers for full-time employment, AM and PM shifts available. Cashier applicants must be over 21 as we operate a package liquor store on the premises. Liquor and food knowledge is a huge plus. Applicants with retail and restaurant experience will be preferred. For the right person, the cashier position can lead to other positions in the restaurant. Applicants must be able to provide references.
About the cashier position:
Duties include running the cash register, handling cash, running the to-go coffee station, taking and expediting to-go orders, stocking items in the store, helping receive products from distributors, fielding phone calls, taking large party reservations, and giving people directions. We are open from 9am-9pm every day, so this position could include somewhat early mornings but almost never any late nights. Pay starts at $12/hr plus inclusion in the restaurant's tip pool (generally $15-25/hour on top of base pay). Applicants under 21 will not be considered.
