My mother is currently living in Independent Living at Montecito and needs a bit of help in order to stay living independently. We have been with her daily from about 11-1, doing little household chores (laundry, empty dishwasher, care for plants, etc, but no house cleaning needed), preparing her lunch, ensuring she took her pills, etc. It is quite possible she will need more hours of help each day at some point, but for now, it is just 11-1.
The open shifts currently are Saturday, Sunday and Monday, or it could work to have one person doing Saturday and Sunday, and a second person doing Monday and Tuesday. The starting pay is $30/hour.
She loves classical music, birds, and has a good sense of humor. She is a lot of fun to be with.
