We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Espanola Vdex Diabetes Clinic, to make a positive difference in the patient experience and quality of care.
Performs a wide variety of medical and clinical support functions in a clinical setting, such as; welcomes patients and obtains medical histories from patients; verifies patient information; performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, such as taking vital signs, verifying medications, and CGM placements.
Other Responsibilities:
Ensures all related reports, labs and information is in patients medical records for upcoming appointments.
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy as necessary. Provide physician instructions to patients.
Process basic in-house labs, such as A1C, Random Glucose, and UA dip.
Keep exam room stocked and troubleshoots equipment.
On occasion helps with the front office, prior authorizations, ordering supplies, monthly inventory, and other duties around the office.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
One (1) years previous medical or general office experience preferred.
One (1) years previous customer service experience preferred.
Must be well organized and able to multitask efficiently.
Must be proficient in MS Office and have good computer skills.
Must have the ability to sit at a desk for 70%-90% of the workday in a general office environment.
Bilingual and eCW is a plus
