Horse care position available three days a week (25-27 hours) for 90+ horses at a non-profit horse rescue. Duties include but not limited to: Feeding, watering and mucking; light general facility maintenance; weed control; etc. We are located outside of Cerrillos, NM and are a smoke free and drug free facility.
The right candidate is/has:
Reliable, punctual and willing to work weekends and holidays when they fall on your scheduled days.
Able to lift and load approx. thirty-five 65# hay bales and about three 50# bags of feed per day, able to be on your feet for long periods of time and able to work outdoors during all seasons.
Reliable transportation in all weather conditions and on dirt roads.
Detail oriented.
Able to interact well with people.
Horse care experience is a plus, but we will train the right person.
Employment is contingent on passing a Background Check. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
