Small forestry and resource management company is looking to add two more team members: 1 general laborer and 1 skilled sawyer.
Both positions include and/or require:
-Working in inclement weather in difficult terrain
-Repetitive, strenuous activity moving branches, logs etc.
-Working in dynamic environments with multiple pieces of equipment, tree felling and potential stressful situations
-Adhering to PPE standards (all but boots and hardhats are provided)
-Skilled with hand tools
-Transportation to job sites around Santa Fe
-Must be willing to travel for work- 80% of work is in Santa Fe area, 20% of work is from Albuquerque to Colorado. We Airbnb or camp depending on circumstances. Travel is paid as well as per diem
-Occasional overtime
-Must work well with others, able to follow directions and communicate effectively
Sawyer position requirements:
-Safely and efficiently cut and fell trees of all sizes and species up to 18" dbh
-Proficient in directional felling
-Knowledgable of basic Stihl chainsaw maintenance
-Proficiently sharpen chain
-Proficient in tree pruning (can be trained on the job)
Pay depending on experience, reliability, independence:
Laborer: $17 - $21/hr
Sawyer: $19 - $24/hr
Over Night Per Diem: $25 - $30/night

What we do:
We help clients manage their land and the resources on it. This generally includes thinning, hazard felling, logging, chipping, noxious weed management, defensible space, beautification, seeding, water retention, erosion mitigation and occasional landscaping.
Clients include small and large private land owners as well as New Mexico State Forestry, Forest Service, Albuquerque Open Space and other government agencies. Projects range in size from 1/2 acre beautification jobs to 100+ acre forest management jobs.
To get these jobs done we use chainsaws, trucks, winches, chippers, skid steer, dump trailer, hand tools and teamwork. We are looking for reliable individuals who want to be outdoors, bring a good attitude and enjoy a hard days labor. We have a culture of learning as jobs are continuously changing to meet the needs of our various landscapes.
