Full-Time Position (40hrs)
We have over 3000 acres in rural New Mexico and are looking for an individual or couple to monitor and maintain our vacation ranch acreage and home.
The primary responsibilities are ensuring home systems (solar power, well water, and irrigation system) are operational. Daily checks of the main home; ensure the home is secured, the home monitoring system is operational, and no one is trespassing on property. In addition, provide general property maintenance and upkeep to include:
Repair roads and fences as needed; ranging from divot repair, to working with erosion specialists to maintain 3+ mile driveway using tractor farm and road grading equipment.
Fence maintenance: electrical fence maintenance/repair as well as other fence work as needed. Experience in this area is a plus.
Purchase supplies for the property.
Light cleaning after each use of the main house; haul trash/recycling, vacuum, sweep/mop floors or wash down garage, and exterior areas as needed. Seasonal window cleaning.
Seasonal HVAC, generator maintenance experience is a plus.
Light yard maintenance: manage weeds, monitor, and maintain seasonal irrigation, and startup/winterize irrigation system. Irrigation experience a plus.
Coordinate and meet with any approved vendor or contractor who visits the property.
Provide or coordinate ATV and vehicle repairs on occasion.
The property is leased for cattle grazing and you will not be required to care for the animals but keeping the cattle away from the house is something you would be expected to monitor and coordinate with the ranchers to ensure they are grazing their cattle according to the lease and expectations of the property owner. You will have use of property SUV to move around and patrol the property.
Qualifications include reliable, trustworthy, excellent communication skills, experience in farming/ranching, livestock, irrigation, barb wire fencing (building and repair). Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and automotive skills are a plus. Regular communication with the owners requires email and task app such as Microsoft To-Do
Applicants should be in good health, resourceful, addiction and drug-free. Nonsmoking preferred. Background check will be required.
The exact compensation package will vary depending on the services you will provide. We also offer a newly built modular home for your residence.

The property itself is beautiful, with wide open spaces as the surround. However, this posting is a remote location; the closest town is approximately 30 minutes away.
