Duties to include:
Turnouts/Turnins of horses must have advance knowledge of working horses through doors and gates safely . And advanced safety knowledge of haltering leading horses.
feeding must have good knowledge between good hay and bad hay. Must be able to pay keen attention to detail and do thorough checks of your work when finished at the end of the day to make sure all horses have water, feed , door latches shut and no one is sick or injured .
supplements /medications
filling feeders ( slow hay feeders )
watering
must be able to lift 65 lbs
hard working dependable this is a very physical job you must be in good shape and be able to work smartly and efficient and a multi tasking is a must.
good communication skills. Must checkin and checkout each day with one of the managers .
good knowledge of when a horse is sick or needs a vet . Must have advanced horse handling skills, and safety skills.
must have transportation and on occasion be flexible and willing to work longer hours if needed
some stall and pen cleaning may be required.
Double shifts Saturday and Sunday Monday and Tuesday off Wednesday Thursday and Friday evening shift only approximately 18-21 hrs per week however guaranteed pay for 21 hrs per week .
