Part time barn help needed must have horse handling experience.
We are looking for a enthusiastic, hard working individuals that love the outdoors and equines/animals and knows how to be outdoors and dress in inclement weather and what it requires to take good care of equines/animals in every season . Someone who is caring and experienced with equines/animals to join our team !Must be polite and have good communication skills and be professional around clients . We are hoping on a permanent basis or at least 6 months to a year commitment.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
Turnouts/Turnins of horses: must have advance knowledge of working horses through doors and gates safely . And advanced safety knowledge of haltering leading horses.
Feeding: must have good knowledge between good hay and bad hay.
Must be able to pay keen attention to detail and do thorough checks of your work when finished at the end of the day to make sure all horses have water, feed , door latches shut and no one is sick or injured .
Supplements /medications
Filling feeders ( slow hay feeders )
Watering
Sweeping
Shared stall cleaning and outside pen cleaning .
Keeping grounds clean trash picked up.
Must be able to lift 65 lbs
Hard working dependable as this is a very physical job you must be in good shape and be able to work smartly and efficiently and be good at multi tasking .
Good communication skills. Must checkin and checkout each day with one of the managers .
Good knowledge of when a horse is sick or needs a vet .
Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license and social security number . Must be flexible and willing to work longer hours if needed as well as holidays if they fall on your shift.
Shift is Thursday through Sunday 1-6pm approximately 20-25 hrs per week . please send references, experience and your general location to craigslist add with your phone number and I will contact you either by phone or email .
