While Ohori’s Coffee has been a beloved local institution for over 40 years, Ohori’s Home is just entering its 3rd year. We offer a range of meaningful and affordable gifts, including jewelry, homewares, art, cards, coffee and tea brewers, children’s items, and pet accessories. We’re seeking an energetic and motivated leader to help shape this young store into a thriving local favorite.
About the Role
We’re seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our sales team, and coordinate merchandise across Ohori’s Home and our coffee retail locations. This role combines customer service, staff management, merchandising creativity, and operational excellence. You’ll have the chance to directly influence our store’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a small team of sales associates
Provide warm, professional customer service
Oversee daily merchandising and inventory for Ohori’s Home and assist with merchandise displays at our coffee stores
Receive, process, price, and display new products
Operate and train others on POS and retail software systems
Maintain stock levels, conduct inventory counts, and report needs to buyers/owners
Create visually inspiring product displays and seasonal merchandising
Handle daily opening/closing procedures, including cash management
Support in-store events, promotions, and community engagement activities
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of retail or gift store experience (assistant manager or lead preferred)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Confident with computers, POS systems, and basic office software
Creative eye for product displays and store presentation
Positive, solution-oriented, and dependable
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
Available for weekday shifts (9:00 AM–4:00 PM) with occasional flexibility as needed
