We are seeking a skilled and compassionate, certified on-call Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being in a relaxed and inviting environment. You are positive, sensitive, and intuitive and use these skills to provide clients with the best possible, rewarding day spa experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assess treatment based on clients' goals
- Administer various massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, hot stone, and Swedish massage, and adapt the application of these techniques to clients' needs and goals
- Educate patients on self-care techniques to enhance treatment outcomes
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times to clients and fellow team members
- Adhere to agreed-upon schedule with management
- Arrive promptly at least 15 minutes prior to first treatment of the day to prepare room for client(s) and return room to its original state following each treatment
- Notify management promptly regarding any issues (equipment problems, low supplies, emergency situations, etc.) that may prevent or interfere with performing tasks as stated above
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist
- Knowledge of massage techniques
- Familiarity with a variety of modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and hot stone therapy
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must provide proof of current insurance and up-to-date, New Mexico board certification, and a W-9 prior to employment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $51.00 per hour
Supplemental Pay: Tips
Schedule: Flexible, shifts between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
