Minimum QualificationsFive years of relevant professional experience ORAssociate degree in hospitality, public relations, or related field AND three years of relevant professional experience. Duties Description Job DutiesThe duties of the Administrative Assistant - Diversity, Equity & Inclusion include, but will not be limited to, the following:Provide comprehensive support for the administration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion division initiatives.Facilitate division purchasing, including ongoing management of division contracts.Monitor division budget and provide regular updates as a part of regular team meetings.Assist with implementation of division initiatives, including but not limited to, reservations, communications, day-of facilitation, and coordinated assessmentSupport the administration and implementation of DEI workforce education programs, including attendance tracking among other functions.Input, update, organize, and maintain digitally stored division data such as program attendance, survey results, etc.Track department deliverablesHandle confidential/sensitive information with discretion and diplomacyCollaborate with System partners to support calendarization and planning of partnership programs Additional Comments Position SummaryThe New York State Teachers’ Retirement System’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) division leads the System’s comprehensive DEI strategy. DEI champions deliberate efforts to promote equity and inclusion throughout the enterprise and across all System functions. The division provides employee learning opportunities, provides policy guidance, and implements workplace practices, toward overall inclusion innovation, in service of our members, retirees, and stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and is responsible for administrative and logistical support for all division activities and initiatives.
