The Bureau is responsible for multiple systems in support of assessing and analyzing the healthcare ecosystem in New York State. These systems include the states All Payer Database, SPARCS, Data Quality solutions, Master Data Management solutions, Provider Directory, and more. The unit the incumbent will join is engaged in multiple projects in support of the above including the integration with a master patient index solution, expanding cloud infrastructure, and modernization of legacy processes and systems.Basic Qualifications:
Overseeing implementation and operation of a cloud data analytics environment
Assist in setting short-, medium- and long-term direction, roadmaps and standards for technical architecture. Suggest and develop efficient solutions to leverage technologies to support reaching program objectives.
Coordinate design, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the environment.
Collaborate with business units and product managers on development of and access to data products within the environment.
Perform day to day operational duties; track, monitor and suggest improvements on system data flows and performance; identify, escalate, and oversee resolution of issues; report on status of environment development and operations.
Manage configuration and deployment of cloud-based analytics tools.
Utilize programming languages including SQL, Python and cloud-native tools and services
Oversee vendors and manage team members in execution of project tasks and operational responsibilities in shared environment. Drive standard processes and methodologies. Coordinate with other workstream leaders and personnel on planning, deployment and operations of systems and data products.
