The Transformation Initiatives Unit is responsible for providing Medicaid Program Areas (i.e., Long Term Care, Bureau of Adult Special Populations, Health Homes, Bureau of Social Care and Community Supports) with data analytics support. This support includes, but is not limited to, subject matter expertise in program areas, ad-hoc data analytics, budget implementation support, budget fiscal support, data research, and data visualization.The day-to-day responsibilities of the Healthcare Data Analyst include:
Working with business units to develop and build models in support of Medicaid analytic use cases.
Providing input on current approaches and recommending continuous quality improvements to best achieve programmatic goals, further enhancing the validity and reliability of Medicaid data.
Performing data analysis using innovative methods and approaches to Medicaid data , supporting Medicaid program management and effective provisioning of data quality assurance and data integration techniques.
Performing data extraction, aggregation, and quality checks on Medicaid data from multiple sources in support of trend identification and root-cause analysis for performance metrics.
Conducting analysis based on both data trends and reviews of other state Medicaid programs to monitor Medicaid enrollment, spending, access, and service utilization, and preparation of research reports for division management.
Providing fiscal analyses for budget reporting, implementation, and State Plan Amendment needs
Performing other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:Healthcare experience preferred2 years of SQL, R, Python, SAS, SPSS or Tableau experience preferredCompensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
