Description Summary: Huntington’s municipal underwriter will be responsible for providing scales, market color and industry expertise to issuers, financial advisors, and municipal sales professionals. Partnership with Public Finance is critical, as the candidate will lead underwriting efforts for negotiated municipal issuance. In addition, the underwriter will work closely with traders and sales professionals to evaluate opportunities to bid on competitive offerings.Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the trading of institutional securities within Capital Markets to meet the needs of the customers and to generate trading profits for the company.
Maintains communication and relationships with dealers to keep informed of market conditions and ensures timely execution of trades.
Advises sales officers regarding market conditions and trends, offerings and yields to support sales.
Ensures compliance objectives are met at both the company trading policy level and the outside governmental regulation level.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in municipal underwriting required.
Bachelor’s degree
FINRA licensing required: Series 7, 52, 53
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Institutional Investments, specifically municipal securities.
Successful track record of business building and strategy execution.
Actively involved in community and/or non-profit volunteering services
Experienced and successful in cultivating new investment relationships
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skill set
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Bloomberg TOMS and Tradeweb

Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
