Summary: Meta’s Metaverse Media Content team is seeking a Media Platform Program Manager to take ownership of platform programs related to media content in virtual reality, mixed reality, and within Horizon Worlds. The role will involve operating at multiple levels, from high-level strategic planning to detail-oriented, tactical project management (prioritization, schedule creation, milestone definition and execution, and deliverables management). This role requires a creative mindset, experience managing programs for new platforms, the ability to use insights to inform decision-making, and exceptional skills in organization and communication.Required Skills: Media Platform Program Manager Responsibilities:
Be knowledgable of all capabilities of media products across the platform, as well as the planned product roadmaps and backlogs
Create strong cross-team partnerships and be able to communicate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of the media team cross-functionally
Work with the team to develop end-to-end project plans, influence teams to deliver against them, and keep the org and leadership informed on progress
Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and coordination areas, to deliver new features and applications for media at high quality
Articulate to stakeholders the media content team’s technology vision, requirements, goals and milestones and develop collaboration across teams and functions
Breakdown the complexity of technical programs to enable a clear understanding of scope and deliverables to a wide audience of team members
Ensure appropriate risk management and change management is performed on projects
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of program management experience (or similar role)
Experience communicating and translating non-technical to technical (and vice versa) requirements and discussions to internal and external teams
Analytical and problem-solving experience
Experience tracking industry and market trends to assess new and external technologies/products to solve problems and demonstrated thought leadership
Experience working with product, engineering, and design teams
Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Technical Program Management or Developer Relations experience in leading software disciplines or programs
Background in virtual reality and/or mixed reality technology, as well as immersive media
Bachelor’s degree or higher
