Sr. Project Manager

Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Program Director, the Sr. Project Manager provides support in the administration of grant programs administered by the Office of Community Renewal. These include Access to Home, RESTORE, the Mobile and Manufactured Home Replacement Program, and other program areas as needed. Duties

Track and monitor project portfolio through funding, development, and compliance phases.

Carry out routine office activities such as answering and routing phone calls, copying, transcription, filing, data entry, handling incoming and outgoing e-mail, and mail, and other tasks as needed.

Draft and finalize memos, correspondence, reports, manuals, or other documents as needed.

Provide database record keeping and reporting support.

Assist with review and processing of all program-related payment requests and contracts.

Assist with review and scoring of all Program-related applications and reports, assist with award notification/declination process, and other grant administration correspondence.

Understand and articulate program rules and regulations and provide advanced technical assistance to program applicants and grantees to ensure comprehension of program regulations, requirements, and the application and award processes.

Conduct advanced research and writing.

Advise, support, or supervise junior staff members.

Prepare and conduct presentations for webinars, workshops, and conferences.

Represent the Office of Community Renewal in community development meetings and interagency working groups.

Special projects and general Program-related support and assistance, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Desired Skills

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in a planning or grants management role, preferably with a focus on housing and community services. Master’s degree preferred.

Demonstrated interest in the relationship between housing development and community revitalization.

Understanding of how to work effectively in and with diverse communities.

Skill and experience in developing solutions and systems to address programmatic challenges.

Demonstrated experience working independently and exercising good judgment without constant supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with attention to detail and professionalism in all communications.

Well organized and self-motivated with ability to work under pressure, while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects.

Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Office and general comfort with technology. Fluency with Word and Excel is essential.
