Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly with general ledger functions, and hold at least an associate's degree in accounting or a related field.Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily general ledger accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist with audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on general ledger work.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
