The Maintenance Person is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of properties managed by the company. Tasks include:
-performing general repairs (address small clogs, replace lights, change locks, light pilot lights, install blinds, etc).
-ensure buildings are in safe, tidy and presentable condition at all times
-conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs
-maintenance of common areas and unit turnovers, including light cleaning and painting
-maintain inventory of materials and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance work; notify office when items are needed
-meet code enforcement, National Grid and delivery teams at properties to provide entry
-follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
-interact positively and professionally with tenants and team members
-take photos of all work, and add basic notes regarding work that was done to an app on a daily basis
-clock in and out on an app
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-Can pass a background check (NO theft, NO fraud; NO intentional harm to humans)
-Has a reliable vehicle
-Has basic tools (we have inventory of anything specialized)
-Comfortable using an app to add photos, notes, material list, inspection notes (can use talk-to-text for many items)
-Available 9am-5pm (hours and days may have some flexibility)
-Located near Troy (we serve Troy and the surrounding areas- Albany, Rensselaer, Cohoes) and Schenectady
Maintenance team members start at $25/hour plus $20/day gas reimbursement. Lots of room for growth and pay increase. After hours and weekend emergency work also available (pay is higher for emergency work).
