Job Title: Machine Operator 2nd ShiftJob DescriptionOperate conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to produce both metallic and nonmetallic parts according to established specifications.Responsibilities
Use blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, or other specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of work pieces, setup requirements, and sequence of operations.
Apply knowledge of machining theory and procedures to operate various types of equipment and processes.
Machine parts and verify conformance using specifications, dimensions, and tolerances within one ten-thousandth of an inch.
Monitor processes to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
Initiate improvements to processes, parts, tooling, and equipment.
Work in a team environment to ensure continuous process and quality improvement.
Conduct preventive and corrective actions to maintain continuous process and quality improvement.
Perform quality and self-inspections as per prints and process documentation using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and measuring instruments.
Ensure established objectives are met.
Safely handle parts to avoid damage to products.
Accurately record product and routing information.
Set up workstations ergonomically to avoid unnecessary movements that create fatigue.
Actively participate in instructions and coaching on the use of jigs and set processes.
Maintain and clean the workplace and general area.
Perform routine machine maintenance as outlined in the maintenance procedure manual.
Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.
Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in CNC machine operation
1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production
Proficiency in using lathe, mill, and other machining tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience with machine operation and machining processes

Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to learn quickly and retain and apply knowledge
Strong analysis and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills

You will primarily work in a standing position for up to six plus hours per day, with some tasks requiring sitting for short periods.
