Req Number 142296Job Description:Responsible for receiving incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner, greeting patients, verifying demographic/insurance, collecting co-payments/deductibles, and various clerical duties.Job Responsibility:

Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls, and if appropriate routes them appropriately.

Organizes messages and delivers them promptly to the necessary individual.

Greet patients and guests in a courteous and professional manner.

Verify insurance coverage and demographic information.

Obtain insurance referrals and authorizations.

Direct patients to appropriate waiting or clinical areas.

Explain financial obligation to patients or responsible parties and collect. copayments/co-insurance/deductibles as required.

Facilitate or create appointments for follow-up care, diagnostics procedures, physical therapy, or pain management.

Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Varying shifts between the hours of: 7:30am - 8pm

1-2 late nights (11:30am-8pm) required

Rotating weekend (1/month) required

Job Qualification:

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field.

Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment.
