The Press Assistant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Flexographic Printing Equipment ensuring quality and productivity standards are met and provides leadership and coaching to the Printing Support Crew. In addition, he/she prepares the press for print jobs as assigned, loads appropriate film and ink, and ensures quality checking film for blots/errors. When benefits really help you live better.Group insurance (including health, life, disability, dental and travel insurance)Paid paternity leave and educational reimbursement.Immediately vested 401k with company matchSupplier discounts on various productsRegular full-time positionParticipatory managementWhen your actions lead to success.Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.Ensure compliance with all applicable PPE and Food Safety policies and procedures, wear steel-tipped shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets, etc.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Review and interpret Print Master for job requirements.Work together and coordinate work of support crews ensuring raw materials, cylinders, plates, doctor blades, inks, and supplies are staged and ready for efficient job changeover.Ensure crew members complete tasks safely and per Fresco procedures efficiently and timely.Operate main OCS, HMI panels, and print inspection system.Set machine conditions such as temperatures, tensions, registration and impression.Ensure accurate capture of time, speeds, materials, defects, downtime, and problems affecting quality and waste.Monitor and interpret X-rite and Lab readings.Troubleshoot and correct problems related to quality, waste, speed, and throughput.Ensure effective shift changes by communicating all relevant job requirements, machine conditions, and quality affecting the product and equipment.Assist in care and maintenance of equipment with assigned preventive maintenance tasks.Coach and train assistants and support crews and communicate development to Supervisor.Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.Other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.When your expertise drives us. 2+ years' experience as a Flexographic Press Helper or Changeover technician possessing a basic knowledge/understanding of tension control, drying/ventilation, print impression, print deck registration, color rotation, ink dispensing, plate, anilox, and doctor blades and their correlation to product quality and efficiency.Good work ethic, attendance, and punctuality.Must be flexible for shift assignments and be available for overtime as required including weekends.Motivated and collaborative within a team environment.CompensationThe compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law.
