Req Number 105704FlexStaff is seeking an experienced Child Psychiatrist to work at our client's health care clinics in Nassau County, Long Island. The ideal candidate has experience treating persons with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders;
Examines patient to determine general physical condition and orders laboratory and other diagnostic tests when appropriate.
Evaluates lab and test results and formulates treatment program accordingly.
Directs treatment of patient, utilizing variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications;
Organizes data concerning patient's family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, and other sources;
Works with multidisciplinary staff and other sources regarding the care and treatment of individuals receiving psychiatric services;
Ensures adherence to all applicable program statutes, regulations and appropriate insurance billing practices
REQUIREMENTS
Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university required.
Board Eligibility and New York State licensure required.
Experience treating persons with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third party billing requirements required.
National Provider Identifier.
