Experience with installing and maintaining integrated communications networks, voice, and data services, and inside cable plants is highly desirable.
Additional specialized training in appropriate disciplines. (i.e. Wireless Technology, IP networking, including Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing technologies, specialized training from a technical school, military and/or vendor in telecommunications or closely related field, digital and analog electronics, voice networking, fiber optic infrastructure, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
Desired technical skills: knowledge of network operating systems, experience managing and troubleshooting wireless networks and variety of wireless clients, fiber optic and copper plant topologies, Voice over IP technologies, knowledge of network analysis, development, programming, and understanding of directory services.
Experience in a university environment.
