In this role, you will work on an array of exciting projects and receive training on the latest technologies, including Intaglio plate making. You will have the opportunity to expand and refine your skill set while making a meaningful contribution to the success of our company.Job Title: Prepress TechnicianSUMMARYResponsible for pre-flight and job assembly, graphic design and Offset, Intaglio Gravure and Flexo plate making.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job assembly and job pre-flight

Color Management

Generation Kodak Approval proofs

Prinergy imaging systems

Offset and Flexo Platemaking and validation

Platemaking equipment maintenance

Intaglio Plate design creation and plate validation

Design of latent images, guilloches, and other Security elements.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSGood communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Analytical approach and attention to details and process flows. The ability to maintain and repair equipment as needed, and work overtime to meet customer or management deadlines.EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED

Minimum 5 years prepress experience and / or training

SKILLS REQUIRED

iMAC Pro based Adobe Suite Applications – Illustrator – Photoshop – InDesign – TIFF Assembler

Prinergy Front End

Tendsetter 800

Offset and Flexo plate imaging

Kodak Approval or other dot for dot Proofing systems

Spectrophotometer and color management skills

Analytical approach and organizational skills

Have a good eye for color and attention to detail for color and text proofing and printing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDSHandling of large, delicate, aluminum plates and film material. Lifting consumable containers, and plate material up to 50 pounds.
