Foxfire Mountain House, located in Mt. Tremper, NY is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Server to join our existing FOH team. Passionate about food, ambitious, warm and engaging with guests…if that’s you, please get in touch with us! We’d love to hear more.
Responsibilities Include:
- Setting up dining spaces for dinner service
- Offering impeccable service and hospitality for guests of the inn
- Taking & entering orders into Toast POS
- Seating guests utilizing RESY reservation software
- Serving & clearing food & drink to/from guests.
- Marking tables appropriately for courses
- Offering table side wine service
- Ability to converse with guests effortlessly and build rapport
- Working in tandem with our current FOH team
- End of night cleaning/maintenance of Bar Room
- Assisting with the complete setup and breakdown of event spaces including but not limited to: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, late night party.
- Relaying food and beverage orders, allergies & special requests from guests to team members.
- Responding urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
- Anticipating guests’ needs and offer engaging service and hospitality.
- Maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Presenting a professional appearance and mannerisms at all times.
- Working efficiently in tandem with other team members.
- Ability to walk on varied terrain while carrying catering equipment, food & beverage.
Approximate Schedule:
- Friday 4:00pm-10:30pm
- Saturday 4:00pm-10:30pm
- Sunday 4:00pm-10:30pm
- Monday 4:00pm-10:30pm
Through late-April our restaurant and bar room will be open Friday-Monday nights. Beginning in May, this position will be a mix of retreat style wedding events each Friday & Saturday with restaurant shifts (seatings from 5-8pm) on Sunday & Monday nights. This is a year round position with room for growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $24/hr + tips. Foxfire is proud to pay its staff a living wage; while tipping is welcome, it is not requested. Any tips left by guests are split amongst our hourly team based on hours worked.
