Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Clifton Park, New York. The role involves managing payroll processes and accounting responsibilities within our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in using payroll software, has a strong understanding of accounting principles, and possesses skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and more.Responsibilities: Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. Handle employee payroll adjustments and carry out reconciliation for hours worked each week and benefit deductions. Prepare Certified Payrolls and journal entries. Assist in preparing Monthly/Quarterly EEO Reports and provide backup for human resources functions. Process Accounts Payable and prepare Monthly AR Invoices for clients. Provide customer support on billing-related questions and resolve invoicing discrepancies where required. Perform general bookkeeping and other general accounting functions. Undertake administrative duties as necessary. Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently. Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
