Description We are offering an ongoing contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Elmont, New York. The individual will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our proprietary database, preparing and handling various financial documents, and ensuring the smooth operation of office tasks. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be part of our team where you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in data entry, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and handling inbound and outbound calls.Responsibilities: Ensuring accurate data entry and updating information into our proprietary database Preparing and handling various monthly financial documents Ordering supplies and equipment as required Monitoring balances and updating financial eligibility in our system Developing and maintaining tracking systems including computerized excel and other databases Generating and distributing internal memos, postings, and other printed materials Managing all tasks related to processing of incoming and outgoing mail Recording minutes at all trainings, presentations, and staff meetings as requested Receiving, screening and routing incoming telephone calls and relaying phone messages to support staff.Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential. Skills in data entry are required. Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls is necessary. Ability to work with spreadsheets and manage large amounts of data. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on business needs. The candidate must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Experience in providing customer service would be an advantage.
