Description We are inviting applications for the role of Controller in our manufacturing industry located in Nassau County, New York. The Controller will be responsible for tasks related to financial planning, reporting, variance analysis, and general accounting. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the preparation of annual capital and operating budgets Manage the entire accounting close process Perform detailed review and approval of monthly internal financial statements Prepare comprehensive financial analysis reports for internal and external stakeholders including Private Equity participant Oversee the administration of all insurance policies Foster positive relationships with lenders, insurers, and benefit program providers Assist in the preparation of tax returns and regulatory reports Ensure proper maintenance of legal and contract files Prepare for and assist with external audit processes Take ownership of the operating fiscal budget and collaborate with the management team to ensure performance aligns with budget Utilize practical knowledge of Manufacturing, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting - Forecasting for efficient operations.Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the manufacturing industry. NetSuite experience HIGHLY preferred. Proven expertise in Financial Reporting. Strong background in Budgeting and Forecasting. Must possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required. Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus. Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
