Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Support specialist in the insurance industry, based in Garden City, New York. The role involves ensuring smooth network operations, managing security and user accounts, and providing technical assistance. Responsibilities: Ensure the efficient operation of the company's LAN/WAN network connectivity Administer network security and user account management Provide support for various systems and applications, ensuring optimal performance Set up new computers and peripherals, ensuring they are ready for use Control user access to the network, ensuring data security and integrity Provide technical assistance to users, resolving any issues swiftly and effectively Troubleshoot and address recurring network issues, improving network reliability Undertake special tasks as directed by senior technical leadership to enhance network performance Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action in line with company policies Assist the Manager of Network Operations and the Security Analyst in operational tasks. Skills: Proficient in VMware, Cisco Networking, Windows 11, LAN - Local Area Network, WAN - Wide Area Network Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in Network Support or a related field. Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware. Proven experience with Cisco Networking. Proficiency in using Windows 11. Familiarity with LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) is required. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills. Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other team members. Relevant certification or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be advantageous. Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and undergo any necessary training. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of integrity and professionalism.
