This is a unique opportunity to drive growth, shape our global partnerships strategy, and make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving industry.About the position:As the Vice President of Global Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth by developing and managing strategic partnerships and alliances on a global scale. You will lead a high-performing team and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, negotiate, and execute partnerships that align with our business objectives and growth strategies.Role/Responsibilities: Partnership Strategy: Refine and execute the comprehensive global partnership strategy aligned with Mastercard Identity’s goals and objectives. This strategy includes Partner Sales, Strategic Partnerships and Partner Development, as well as definition of the specific types of partners who will be part of the program. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global partnerships team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Partner Identification: Define the desired profile(s) of potential partners. Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities. Relationship Building: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with existing partners and cultivate new relationships to create long-term value for the organization. Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations, deal structuring, and contract development to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that drive revenue, market share, and brand recognition. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, legal, C&I and Mastercard at large to ensure seamless partnership integration. Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify strategic partnership opportunities. Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of partnerships. Manage channel pipeline and forecast reporting and track progress through the sales cycle. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with partnerships and develop mitigation strategies, and work with internal partners in legal, privacy and information security to ensure proper guardrails are documented and processes defined. Budget Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively to maximize the ROI of partnership initiatives.All about you: Ability to build, lead and inspire high-performing and cross-functional teams. Proven track record of channel, partnerships, or relevant sales experience with success in recruiting and developing new partners, ideally within relevant offering category and channel. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of successfully hiring, developing and managing global strategic partnerships, and high performing, revenue-producing teams. Strong understanding of the global Identity ecosystem and market dynamics, as well as a strong personal network within applicable industries Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical, growth mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions. International experience and a global network of industry contacts preferred. Strategic, innovative thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans, and a passion for driving growth through partnerships. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
