The Wappingers Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and collaborative educator for an immediate opening for an ENL teaching position, with an effective start date on or about December 10, 2024. Provide effective instruction in English language acquisition aligned with state and district standards.
Utilize ENL content and strategies to support students' academic and linguistic growth.
Collaborate closely with general education teachers to implement co-teaching models and support students in inclusive classroom settings.
Assess student progress using formal and informal methods to guide instruction.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of English language learners (ELLs).
Foster a culturally responsive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student engagement.
Job QualificationsOnly those candidates holding valid NYSED certification in ESOL/ENL will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and best practices for teaching English language learners. Experience in co-teaching and collaborative planning preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
