We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and packaging a variety of products while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in food handling.
Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies and sandwiches.
Create & Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Measure and mix ingredients according to established guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to comply with health regulations.
Package finished products for sale or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
Collaborate with staff to manage inventory levels of baking supplies.
Assist in menu development by contributing new ideas for baked items.
Ensure all food handling practices are followed to maintain safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and mixers.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes precisely.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
Knowledge of catering operations is a plus but not required.
CIA or RCC trained baker is preferred
