Pinkerton’s is a new bakery opening in the historic upstate city of Kingston, NY by James Beard award winning Pastry Chef Angela Pinkerton (San Francisco (Che Fico, Craftsman and Wolves, Pie Society), New York City (Eleven Madison Park) and the DC area (Ritz Carlton).)

Our menu will feature a wide range of nostalgic desserts, morning pastries, and sweet/savory cakes and pies, as well as a small menu of breakfast, and lunch items, complimented with Joe Coffee and Rishi programs.

Always baking from scratch, and using local seasonal ingredients, there will be a something for everyone, including gluten-free, and vegan options.

We are looking to add another talented Baker/Pastry Cook to our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in top quality kitchens. The position will work 32-40hours per week with a pay range of $18-20/hr plus tips.

Responsibilities will include baking morning pastries, and preparing other menu items and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will also have the future opportunity to work closely with Chef Angela to learn chocolate tempering and dough lamination.

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, be organized and proactive, and have the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and have reliable transportation to Kingston, NY.
