Sous Chef

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine dining and exceptional food service, with a background in banquet and kitchen management.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food service activities

- Help plan and direct food preparation, ensuring high quality and efficiency

- Manage inventory and control food costs

- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary skills and best practices

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations

- Working weekends and potentially holidays.

-Collaborating and delegating responsibilities to catering team during events to provide a high quality experience for the guests.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role within a culinary environment

- Strong culinary skills with a focus on quality and presentation

- Knowledge of food management, menu planning, and kitchen operations

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen staff

- Maintaining a clean driver's license is required to operate company vans and utility vehicles.
