Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: Liverpool, New YorkCompany: Echelon Supply and ServicePosition Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products consistently meet stringent quality standards set by both our industrial clients and government customers. You will play a key role in developing quality processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:

Quality Standards Development: Create and implement quality standards and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Reporting and Documentation: Develop, write, and review various quality reports, including First Article Test (FAT), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), AS9100, and others, ensuring accuracy and compliance for customer acceptance.

Customer Interaction: Present completed materials and quality documentation to customers and government source inspectors, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of materials, equipment, processes, and products to verify that they meet defined quality specifications.

Collaboration: Work closely with operations managers and supervisors to identify areas for quality control improvements and implement effective solutions.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all workflows, processes, and products adhere to relevant government standards and industry regulations.

Issue Resolution: Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues, developing and implementing corrective actions and improvements.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and enhance quality control processes, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in a relevant role.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with company, government, and industry standards and processes such as AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.

Technical Skills: Proficient in using quality assurance software tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma principles is a plus.

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities to assess quality issues and develop effective solutions.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster a collaborative team environment and facilitate cross-departmental cooperation.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.

Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with quality management systems (QMS).

Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively under tight deadlines.
