First and foremost we are hiring a person that wants to do amazing things and be part of a team that wants the same.

We are a seasonal American restaurant in Bellmore/Merrick. Our seasonal menus adapt traditional and modern cooking techniques to modern tastes. Bluebird Kitchen is a company that is very passionate about well-executed and balanced food, raw and natural wines, craft cocktails, spirits, and beers.

We are currently looking for dedicated and driven Chef de Cuisine and Line Cooks to join our team.

- Assist the Chef/Owner in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, ingredient selection, and maintaining high standards of food quality.

- Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring proper training, supervision, and development.

- Prepare and cook dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to our farm-to-table philosophy.

- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.

- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.

- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.

- Adapt to the evolving needs of the restaurant and contribute to menu development and innovation.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on fine dining and/or farm-to-table cuisine.

- Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques and kitchen operations.

- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- A creative approach to problem-solving and menu development.

- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required.Genuinely love to cook

Able to take direction

Have a high level of organization skills

Are professional, articulate, friendly and punctual

Able to follow and scale recipes

Maintain health department standards

Have Nassau County Health department permit if you don't have you will be required to get on that we will pay for.

Maintain food quality and restaurant standards

Ability to demonstrate great teamwork in a hospitality driven environment
