Executive Chef

We are a continental style high volume restaurant and bar located in Nassau County, NY, that is known for great food and service. We are searching for a full-time Executive Chef to join our team. The individual we are looking for will have a minimum of 10 years experience working in kitchens, and 5 years in a supervisory role in a kitchen.

This is a full-time, hands-on position working a minimum of 5 days/nights per week. We are open most holidays, and this person will be expected to work weekends and holidays as needed. The individual we are searching for will be capable of leading the kitchen in the proper direction at all times while creating a positive work environment for all those around them.

Qualifications for Executive Chef Position:

- Food preparation and creativity, menu planning, cost control and inventory experience

- Familiarity working all positions on the line in a kitchen as well as large quantity preparation for catered events

- Ability to lead a team, give direction, create and maintain cleaning schedules, and ensure kitchen staff are properly trained.

- Health Department Food Service Managers Certificate is a +

- Culinary Education and training

- Bilingual in Spanish & English is a +

- Must have reliable transportation
