Kitchen Prep

Looking for a kitchen prep person that will be responsible for the following

Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards

Measure, portion, and store ingredients properly

Assist with basic cooking tasks such as mixing, marinating, and portioning

Set up and restock prep stations throughout service

Label, date, and rotate all food products following FIFO procedures

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment and utensils

Follow all food safety and kitchen sanitation guidelines

Assist line cooks and chefs during busy periods

Report low inventory levels and any equipment issues to the kitchen supervisor

Support the team with additional kitchen tasks as needed

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or food-handling experience preferred (but not always required)

Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, knives, and food preparation techniques

Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat environment

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift up to 25-40 lbs and stand for long periods

Work Environment

Fast-paced commercial kitchen setting

Requires frequent standing, bending, lifting, and working with sharp tools and hot surfaces
