We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in a dynamic upscale casual restaurant environment. Responsibilities
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
Manage and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment.
Utilize TOAST POS system for efficient order processing, inventory management, and reporting.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure kitchen and bar operations run smoothly.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen management to develop menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal offerings.
Implement promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance the overall dining experience.
Educate and train staff on standards of service.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast, is highly desirable but not required.
Knowledge of food management practices, including food safety standards and kitchen operations.
Experience in casual dining settings is preferred, along with an understanding of bar operations and wine & spirits knowledge.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
