Red Hook Tavern brings classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village of Red Hook, Brooklyn. This summer, we will bring the same warmth, atmosphere, and hospitality to Sag Harbor with a focus on the beautiful seafood caught right off the coast of Long Island.
We are looking for experienced local hospitality professionals to join us for the summer and beyond. We are hiring sommeliers, servers, bartenders, runners, bar backs, and maître d's. Back Server & Bar Backs
Candidates should be knowledgeable, approachable, and comfortable communicating with guests from different backgrounds. A certain level of flexibility and adaptability is appreciated since we are operating both inside the dining room and outside on our patio, and a true love of hospitality is required.
Back Server & Bar Backs will work closely with our service staff, host, kitchen crew, and General Manager.
Like the entire staff at Sag Harbor Tavern, our back servers and bar backs should be frendly, hardworking, and excitied to learn more about food, wine, and hospitality. Come and be a part of our great team!
Job Description:
Work closely with team of servers, bartenders, hosts, dishwashers, chef & cooks in a fast-paced service environment
Present a neat and professional appearance
Provide professional, friendly and engaging service
Ensure food orders are correct before delivering to guests
Ensure patio and dining setup is well stocked and clean
Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently
Assist in patio setup & breakdown
Display enthusiasm and knowledge about the Tavern's menu and ingredients
Complete all opening and closing busser/runner side work and mise en place in a timely fashion
Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 pounds and walk/stand for 8 hours
