Family in Central Islip is seeking Personal Aides who are reliable, trust-worthy, English speaking, have a vehicle, and dependable. Must be able to work varied shifts of AM, mid-shift, and overnight shift during the week and weekends. Role involves cooking, cleaning, escorting patient to medical appointments, assistance with showering/bathing, house cleaning, laundry, toileting, laundry, toileting, medication management, and transporting. This role requires the ability to take direction well while also listening. Companionship duties will be an essential part of the job in addition to facilitating with all tasks of daily living. The most successful candidates will have a passion for working with the elderly population. This position is not with an agency but is under the CDPAP program within NYS.
