Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team. This role includes general office duties, basic accounting support, and managing important paperwork for the individuals we serve. You’ll regularly communicate with banks, landlords, and government offices, assist with benefit applications, and help ensure bills and documents are organized and handled correctly.
Training will be provided.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys administrative work, is comfortable with phone and email communications, and values working in a supportive nonprofit environment.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with banks, property managers, and government agencies regarding client accounts and required paperwork
Assist with benefit applications, such as Social Security, SNAP, Medicaid, and other assistance programs
Track, organize, and help manage bills, payments, and basic account information
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and administrative records
Look up and track unclaimed funds or outstanding balances when needed
Keep organized files and uphold confidentiality and compliance standards
