Req Number 140688Job DescriptionAnalyzes, identifies and provides pre-award and non-financial post-award assistance to the employees in obtaining and managing sponsored awards. Disseminates funding agency guidelines and funding opportunity information. Maintains Grants Management software system.Job Responsibility

Analyzes, identifies and prepares new, non-competing/competing continuation grant applications and other progress reports; facilitates electronic and paper submissions.

Assists in the review and negotiation of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trial agreements.

Monitors all phases of grant and contract award to ensure compliance with Federal regulations, financial requirements, and sponsor and institutional guidelines; collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and proper accounting of externally and internally sponsored funds.

Participates in 'Kick-Off' meetings with stakeholders to review and discuss the terms of award, roles and responsibilities, and schedule of deliverables.

Participates in review meetings to ensure compliance with terms of award; also participates in Close-Out meetings to ensure timely submission of final reports or requests for no-cost extensions. Assists with the scheduling and coordination of workshops and seminars.

Identifies funding opportunities; develops Grants Management Newsletter; generates database reports for administration.

Assists with compilation of data for audits and Annual Reports of External Support; reviews government regulations, policy changes and other agency notices; disseminates information.

Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification preferred.

Experience in Central Office Research Administration, preferred.

Experience in Research Administration, preferred.
