Req Number 141403Job DescriptionOversees the processing and distribution of linen. Carries out duties of laundry washer and laundry utility worker as needed.Job Responsibility

Oversees processing and distribution of linen; assists management in assignment of work and scheduling.

Ensures that safety measures are followed and acts as resource to staff in matters of customer service, operation of equipment, and safety and infection control.

Performs duties of laundry/utility worker as necessary including collecting, processing, and inspecting soiled laundry.

Sorts clean linens and prepares for flatwork ironers.

Delivers supplies to proper floors when necessary.

Performs washing duties of laundry washer including weighing of laundry to ensure poundage does not exceed standard; maintains accurate records of loads and poundage for reports; applies soaps, detergents, bleaches and other solutions as needed according to specified formulas.

Performs rough dry processing through proper operation of dryers including setting proper drying time, checking that articles are completely dry before removal, and folding articles for proper storage.

Operates steamer as necessary.

Reports equipment failures or malfunctions to supervisor.

Job Qualification

Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

5-7 years of relevant experience, required.
