Contract to Hire

As a Desktop Technician you will be responsible for installing and upgrading computer hardware and software, performing backup and disaster recovery, maintaining the PC loaner program and PC refresh, among other activities in New Hyde Park, NY and the surrounding areas.

What You'll Do:

  • Installing, physically moving, changing/upgrading, and disposing of computer hardware and software products
  • Maintaining virus protection, OS service packs, general operations, and providing back-up and disaster recovery
  • Handling print queue issues
  • Performing hardware and software break/fix on computer equipment within our customers site
  • Outstanding people and communication skills to interact with other team members, customers, and management
  • Managing PC loaner program.
  • Managing the PC refresh for the office.
  • Other Duties as assigned


Skills / Experience You Will Need:
  • Associates degree and 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience with Deployments, Migrations, Refresh, Installs
  • A+ certification preferred
  • Competencies: Communications, Customer Focus, Safety.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Ability to occasionally lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds with assistance
