Job Summary: As an Accounts Payable/ Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire cycle of day-to-day administrative AP functions and other bookkeeping tasks. Our department handles a high volume of transactions, giving attention to detail and data entry proficiency essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: While the following list is not exhaustive, it provides an overview of the key responsibilities associated with this position:
1. Accurate Data Entry:
o Coding, entering, and processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports promptly and accurately.
o Maintain meticulous automated records to ensure financial accuracy.
2. Invoice Verification and Approval:
o Verify invoice details, including pricing, terms, and vendor information.
o Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary approvals.
3. Payment Processing:
o Prepare and process payments, ensuring timely disbursement to vendors.
o Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
4. Vendor Relations:
o Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
o Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
5. Expense Reporting:
o Assist employees with expense report submissions.
o Review and validate expense claims for compliance with company policies.
6. Month-End Closing:
o Participate in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
o Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial statements.
7. Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
o Propose and implement improvements to streamline AP workflows.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
Minimum four years of relevant Experience in a similar AP and Accountant role.
Experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
Experience using MIP Fund Accounting is necessary.
Familiarized with multiple business structures & complex cost or program centers.
Ability to multitask.
Salary:
$60,000- $65,000 `
Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Paid time off (Vacation, Sick Days, etc.).
Schedule Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 4. p.m.)
