Portfolio Associate (Pacific Investment Management Company, LLC (PIMCO) – New York, NY); Multiple positions available. Offering a salary range of $105,000 to $122,500 per year. Develop and enhance PIMCO’s internal applications supporting PIMCO’s portfolio management and trading activities. Responsible for providing key support across portfolio management and trading desks, including global portfolio risk reporting, attribution analysis, and trade allocation. Manage client portfolios and mutual fund investment products for banking and insurance clients using fixed income products, core fixed income bond strategies, proprietary analysis, portfolio management systems, and internal PIMCO portfolio risk metrics. Analyze, monitor, and calculate appropriate and relevant risk measures and size, load and allocate to accounts accordingly.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in financial management. Must also have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Conducting economic research and data analysis; Structured credits, derivatives, and private and public credit; Global portfolio risk reporting and risk factor analysis; Attribution analysis and trade allocation; Fixed income products and core fixed income bond strategies; Communicating economic views and updates on portfolio positioning to clients; and Creating performance attributions analysis on underlying portfolios. Experience may be gained concurrently.
