We are looking for an After-School Counselor to join our team and provide students with the support they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will have experience in counseling, child care, tutoring, or a related field and be knowledgeable about child development, educational systems, and resources. The After-School Counselor will be responsible for supervising children from pre-k to 5th grade, assisting with homework, providing enrichment learning and helping to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise children in a community setting.
Help children with transitions within the program.
Provide academic support and homework help
Develop and implement programs to address student social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
Provide supplemental support to enrichment teachers and administrators.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Advocate for students in the school system.
Responsible for ensuring children are safe and supported.
Must be able to work Wednesdays 1-6 pm.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
